Marcy is the founder and principal of Wire Media, a branding and marketing firm with a focus on nonprofit organizations. Wire Media services include planning, designing and building websites, as well as consulting in areas of social media, e-newsletters, content strategy and more.
Marcy's background is in print and environmental graphic design. She studied interactive design and physical computing at Parsons, where she earned her MFA. After graduating she launched Wire Media in Manhattan and grew it there for 8 years before moving to Los Angeles to live with her husband.
As a member of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), Marcy hosts the 501 Tech Club in Los Angeles, a regular meeting of area nonprofit leaders and employees. She is also a founding member of the Nonprofit Committee at the City Club on Bunker Hill. The club is a downtown LA business networking group. Her committee is dedicated to closing the circle between nonprofit, community and government leadership towards the improvement of LA area lives and communities.
In 2010, Wire Media was one of the first partner design firms with desigNYC, a group that brings together designers to provide branding, print and web collateral for community nonprofits.
Wire Media has won several IMA Awards, a Communication Arts Award, and numerous Pollie awards.
